For 24 hour chunks I’m a firefighter and when not at the station I’m a hubby, daddy, friend, follower, learner, lover, outcast, artist, and dreamer. I am a post evangelical Christian youth pastor now disillusioned with the American dream model of Christianity. What does it mean to be a Christ follower in a post-modern world. This discussion for me includes a lot of experiments to discover what in this world is life giving. Part of my current journey is an experiment and ongoing dialogue in monasticism and common living. To inhabit a place is to truly BE present, and to dwell with a people. When we do this and share common vision, goals, and rhythms we are sharing in-habits. (my little play on words). This blog is entitled Lesson in-habit not because I write as a teacher giving lessons, but because I really am just a  student trying to make my way in Him. Thank for being a part of this journey!
